This month has flown by and been pretty busy with studying because I thought since I am home I should take a couple online classes for school so I could graduate by Dec. But, it turns out newborns don't sleep as much as I thought and daddy has been working like crazy at work and then every spare second on finishing the house remodeling so we can move over to the bigger house. We are so close now and just have to finish the backsplash in the kitchen, painting the garage, putting in the hot water heater, put in the toilet and sink in the front bathroom and a couple other odd and ends. It looks soooooo good! We are getting really excited now :)

I can't believe Luke is about to be 2months old...another month gone by already??? I'm also about to go back to work and this will be my last week off :( I know he will have fun and be taken really good care of because I was lucky enough to secure a spot with the same person that my brother used for both of his girls.  Olivia and Alyssa learned so much and loved staying with her, so that was the first thing I did when I found out I was prego with Luke. I called her and told her she HAD to have a spot for us, and I thought it would be good timing because Alyssa is about to start kindergarden. Ugh, I am going to miss my baby so much.

A few of my favorite pic this past month...

Luke started cooing about 3 weeks ago. He did it a couple times during our night feedings and then his lip was quivering as he was trying so hard to talk back to me one day. I was estatic and then the next day I got on my phone video him talking to me. He smiles so big, it melts my heart! This was the smile from our little chat about sports and him going to Texas Tech, but he was more excited when I said Alabama like his daddy. (dangit!)
We took daddy to Buffalo Wild Wings for his 1st Fathers Day and then we went to my parents for dinner with my dad. It was a good and relaxing day. Luke gave good smiles for daddy and papa.
I love taking Luke on walks with me in the morning. I feed him and leave asap, but its starting to get pretty hot outside, I think the heat makes him thirsty because by the time I get home he wants to eat again. Or, his workout is burning so many calories he wants dessert...haha.
You know the commercial with the really young toddlers that read note cards? Well, Luke can read books already! He loves his Dr. Seuss :) My favorites so far are love you forever and guess how much i love you. I love reading him all the books everyone gave us at the baby showers.
Love when he looks so peaceful asleep. He sleeps in his swing more then anywhere. My couch has become my new bed, because when all else fails, he will usually sleep in his swing.  However, when daddy is home...he still wants to hold him all night on his chest.
Cousin Ashlei came over and read to Luke. She is such a bookworm, and is a natural at reading.
Anthony is about to have a baby sister next month and he wanted to hold Luke. He loved touching his feet and was telling me how excited he is to be a big brother soon and that he is going to take good care of his baby sister. So cute!
Luke was tired but I got a snap of us together. Ignore my sleepy eyes...
i couldn't resist this onesie...who can resist baby superman?!
Papa is preparing for his week with Luke at the end of this month. Luke's caretaker will be on vacation and I will be back to work at the end of this month, so papa was getting some feeding in with Luke. It was a team effort with Makayla listening for him to burp. Luke was showing off and was super calm when Papa had to take the bottle away and burp him. He gets real mad when momma has to burp him, he loves his food! Prissy..the pup there is always by Luke's side when we go to nana and papa's house, so I guess she was apart of the teamwork feeding too.
Uncle Nash and Aunt Patty brought Luke this bear when he was born and this is my favorite outfit that  his great Aunt Teresa and Uncle Bobby gave him. He finally can wear it but its scorching hot outside now and we can't show him off in it. So, i had to get some pics of him in it before he outgrows it, and what better way then with big bear?
 My handsome love!
Luke is just hanging out on a Sat. night watching the Ranger game with momma.
