Is it Fall yet?

Luke has been growing, growing, growing this month :) He has been eating every 2hrs for Kami at daycare, but I think we have him on the same schedule now... I couldn't figure out why he was giving Kami such a hard time, but fingers crossed, I think we figured it out and the last 2 days he eased up and started going 3hrs. Kami is so great with Luke and she has her hands full with a few other little ones. Luke just LOVES watching all the action.

My favorite time of the day is the moment I get him in my arms after work and snuggle in for baby kisses with his tiny arms around my neck. Its heaven!

I laugh every time he makes this face...he sucks his lip way in and tries to talk to me.

All dressed up for Makayla's sweet 16 party and Papa's bday celebration. 

This was a perfect rainy Saturday when the temp was below 90..we were really excited for the break of 100+ heat.

 "There is that foot again...one day I might be able to get it?"

Monica is my closest friend that I grew up playing softball with in TX. I loved our visit together talking about Luke and her wedding planning! And, Luke loved cuddling with her :)

 I forgot to post these 3mo pics. He was sleepy and just not excited about my attempts for a couple days at getting his pics taken after I got us home after work.

He looks so smart with his glasses? He was cooing and smiling real big until I got the camera out...of course.

 He couldn't decide if he wanted the giraffe or his foot more. :)

He is at a good stage right now of eating his hands, still learning his feet, starting to roll from his back to his side when he plays on his floor mat. Eating hands is serious business too! I love watching him attack them.

August Already!??

Gosh, I don't know where the last few weeks went? Last week Luke got to spend the mornings with his daddy before he went to work and then he took him to my dad for camp pappa :) My caretaker was on vacation for the week and my dad was really excited to get to keep him for me. I was a little worried, but they both had so much fun. My dad said he was teaching Luke not to cry when his bottle is taken away from him for burping because he screamed so hard he turned purple..because "I had him trained to get mad." haha. He said that Luke burps easier when he is happy, so he played with him while burping and that made it easier. I told my dad that "all" babies get mad when you take their food away..just like his papa loves his food. haha. My niece Ashlei was helping out too, she said she was there to change poopy diapers. After church on Sun., my parents watched Luke so I could grocery shop and run errands..you see, they think they NEVER get to see Luke. (Even after my dad had him for the week) Papa took over right away changing and playing with him. Nana was waiting her turn as I walked out the door...

I have been soaking in all the new things that Luke is doing right now. I don't want to miss or forget a second of it! He has found his hands and loves grabbing things. I gave him a little giraffe and he loved eating him. He grabs the toys that hang from his play mat so good, and of course tries to eat them too. One night last week when I was picking him up from my parents, I just BARELY missed him rolling over from his back to his tummy. I think it was a fluke though because he hasn't done it again, which I'm glad because we have to get his neck stronger still. He has been getting lots of tummy time!  He found his toes and it was cute watching him grab em. He has a new funny face that I LOVE. He sucks on his bottom lip and smiles or crunches his eye brows...you can't help but laugh when he does it, especially when he is waking up in the mornings.
Oh, he had his 2month check up and was weighing 12.2 pounds and 23inches long now. That was 2 weeks ago and I swear he has gained a few more pounds becuase he is getting heavy when I pick him up in his car seat. I like to use him for arm workouts..which makes him smile too.

Luke slept 7 hours last night!  I had him on a good schedule of sleeping 4-5 hours at a time and then this week he changed it all up on me with sleeping good from 7 or 8pm to 1am, but then he was up every 2hrs after that to eat. Last night I kept him up until 9pm and he slept until 4am! Lets pray this new routine will be here to stay? (I probably just jinxed it)

I just can't put into words how I love and cherish this lil man in my life. I probably drive everyone crazy with all my picture postings, but I know my family and friends out of town enjoy seeing them. So, I only feel half bad for sharing so many. Luke is probably glad to get a break from my camera while he is at Miss Kami's during the week :)
